Chapter 10–Badeah Husain

(Chapt. 10) Klein for the most part discusses how communities are progressively demanding to preserve their lands and more primarily their watersheds. Another primary concern is also to harbor the ocean migration routes from tar-sand pipelines because it has lots of adverse effects such as threatening the health of the people who live in these communities, that are carrying all these toxins through their waterways. The people living in these communities feel apprehensive about what will happen to their water systems. The anti-fracking movement was then initiated due to the fact that drinking water that has been contaminated with toxins and poisons can be very hazardous to one’s own health causing people to suffer from health risks that can lead to being deadly.
