Neo-liberalism is a lay down of economic policies that have grown to be prevalent and widespread. The effect of neo-liberalism is seen as “the rich grow richer, and the poor grows poorer”. The central purposes of neo-liberalism includes, deregulation which is supposed to decrease government regulation over everything that could minimize and lessen profits. Other things that are included are privatization, the rule of market, cutting public expenditure for social services, eliminating the concept of “the public good” or “community”. Neo-liberalism has been imposed by powerful financial institutions like the IMF.
